On November 20, Council Kenyatta Johnson announced publicly that he is withdrawing the rezoning bills, all other related proposed ordinances, and his support for the proposed Korman development. Councilman Johnson cited the powerful voices of the Eastwick community as the reason behind his decision, stating that the community “had spoken loud and clear” and that they deserve to have a say in what happens to their neighborhood.
While the fate of the proposed Korman development remains uncertain, Councilman Johnson’s decision postpones it from going forward indefinitely.
