The Law Center is pleased to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors. We are thrilled to engage these three new Directors in our mission and know that they bring outstanding skills and insight to our important work.
Thomas Chapin is the Chief Investment Officer at Mill Creek Capital Advisors, LLC and has more than 25 years of experience as a leader in the investment management industry. Mr. Chapin spent a significant portion of his career as a principal at The Vanguard Group, Inc. where he held significant management and investment roles. He is a CFA with a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration. He is also currently the Trustee and Investment Manager for the Bennett Family Foundation.
Zachary R. Davis is a shareholder in the Labor & Employment department at Stevens & Lee in Philadelphia. Mr. Davis focuses his practice on labor and employment matters. He represents employers in labor negotiations, as well as class action and single plaintiff employment litigation, including cases alleging discrimination, wrongful termination and breach of non-competition agreements. Mr. Davis has also worked with employers in non-adversarial situations, counseling them in Title VII regulations, employee relations and litigation prevention. Mr. Davis is a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York Bars. He graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School following receipt of his B.A. from Duke University. In addition to his serving on the Law Center’s board, Mr. Davis is vice chair of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Philadelphia.
Michael J. Hynes is a partner in Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP’s Pennsylvania office and co-chair of the firm’s Shareholder Derivative Litigation Department. His current docket focuses on litigating cases involving breaches of fiduciary duties, payment of excessive compensation and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices and False Claims Acts. Prior to joining Faruqi & Faruqi, Mr. Hynes practiced law at Barroway Topaz Kessler Meltzer & Check, LLP and Cozen O’Connor. Mr. Hynes also spent five years as an attorney at the Defenders’ Association of Philadelphia. Mr. Hynes received his law degree from Temple University School of Law and is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA.
