That year, the Law Center filed a class action lawsuit in Oklahoma federal court on behalf of the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and individual children to fix this problem. The lawsuit asked the court to compel the state to pay more to doctors and dentists, implement a system to ensure that children receive care, and reach out to families to enroll low-income children in Medicaid and educate them about the services available to them.
