We are pleased to welcome three new board members, thank departing board members for their service, and celebrate a new slate of board officers.
At our annual meeting in May, the board voted to welcome three new members: Anthony Gay, Colby Smith and Karen Vaughn. These new board members are pictured below (from left to right as introduced in this paragraph). Anthony is associate general counsel at PECO Energy Company; Colby is a partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius; and, Karen is the associate director in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
Also at the annual meeting, the board thanked Eric Rothschild, who has served as board chair for the last four years. Under Eric’s leadership the organization has made significant strides toward financial sustainability. We thank Eric for his great service. Eric will remain on the board.
The board also elected new officers at the meeting. Brian Feeney, previously vice chair, will succeed Eric Rothschild as board chair. Lea Knight has accepted the position of vice chair. Ellen Friedell will remain as treasurer, and Marc Topaz will serve as secretary. These board officers are pictured below (from left to right as introduced in this paragraph).
The board and staff also expressed gratitude to Nicole Perkins and Joe Fay, who have completed terms as board members and have been invaluable assets to the Public Interest Law Center.
