The 2020 U.S. Census is crucial to the future of Philadelphia. It determines representation in Congress, as well as the allocation of billions of dollars in federal funding. Next year’s count presents several unique challenges: it is the first Census with an online form, and a failed attempt to implement a citizenship question has spread distrust in many communities. We must all do everything we can to ensure that every community in Philadelphia is counted in full.
You can sign up to become a Census champion, advise community groups on the law around the Census, monitor social media, and more. Sign up to take action using this form from the Take Action Philly Coalition and Philly Counts, and return it to census@phila.gov. You will be contacted with further information.
