In September we will welcome the new chief of the Defender Association of Philadelphia as an ex-officio member of our board.
Ms. Bradford-Grey will become leader of the Defender Association in September, replacing Ellen Greenlee. Ms. Greenlee served as chief defender for 25 years and was the Defender Association’s ex-officio member on our board during that time.
Prior to her new position, Ms. Bradford-Grey was the chief public defender in Montgomery County. She is known throughout the region for her successful efforts to improve the Montgomery County public defenders office by building mentoring programs, running community trainings and adding social workers to her staff. The Philadelphia Inquirer recently wrote a feature piece on her work and background.
The Public Interest Law Center welcomes Ms. Bradford-Grey to its board of directors and looks forward to collaborating with her.
