J.T. is a five-year-old student who was diagnosed with delayed speech development. J.T. was authorized to receive an individualized program, specifically 45 minutes per week of speech therapy. On two separate occasions, and for six months on each occasion, J.T. did not receive this therapy. Although the service provider knew this was a need for J.T., as it was outlined it in his IEP, the provider failed to provide him with this needed service.
J.T.’s parents came to the Law Center for help to get J.T. the services he needed. As a result of the Law Center’s request for a special education hearing, the matter was successfully resolved between the early service provider and the parent.
