Community Forum for Supreme Court Candidates

The Law Center is co-sponsoring a forum for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court candidates on April 8th from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Philly Neighborhood Networks and MoveOn Philly Council organized the forum, where the many candidates vying for one of three open slots will be participating. From the Facebook page for the event:

“Please join us and hear from many of the candidates vying for one of three open slots, on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court this year, at this non-partisan forum. That’s almost half the court which will be newly elected this year. The PA Supremes review many cases every year which impact workers’ rights, protected class discrimination, campaign financing, voting rights and many other issues critical to our state. Their decisions can set legal precedents for decades. Don’t miss this chance to hear from the candidates directly before you vote on these important offices May 19.”

The Law Center is happy to co-sponsor this event and hopes that much will be learned about the Supreme Court candidates.
