Information for employers on how to navigate the ADA

The Americans with Disabilities Act requires all employers with more than 15 employees to provide reasonable accommodations to employees with disabilities, prohibits certain kinds of medical inquiries, and prohibits denying a job or promotion on the basis of disability.

The ADA and its accompanying regulations can be quite complex, and failure to comply can result in liability.  The disability employment discrimination project will be offering free educational materials and programming on ADA compliance to help employers successfully hire and retain people with disabilities.

Note: This information does not constitute legal advice. The law is constantly changing and application of the ADA depends on the specific circumstances of each case. Consult an attorney when faced with legal issues.
